About the Opportunity

The Grounds Maintenance Specialist will maintain 29 acres of senior living property, including mowing, edging, shrub and tree trimming, and irrigation maintenance. The specialist will perform most tasks independently with occasional assistance from outside vendors and must be available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.

• Practices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.
• Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating, able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Must possess knowledge of the following.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record with no major violations.
• Must have prior experience in groundskeeping.
• Must have prior experience in irrigation.
