Job summary

Tropicana Brands Group is seeking a Logistics role to support the Grounds Maintenance team at our Bradenton, FL facility. You will operate equipment such as forklift, rolloff truck, and street sweeper while maintaining safety and compliance.

Must have a valid CDL and be able to lift up to 60 pounds; this full-time onsite position requires endurance for long shifts and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Relocation not required for local candidates.

Responsibilities

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Logistics to support our Grounds Maintenance team. This role will be responsible for operating all Grounds Maintenance logistic equipment (forklift, roll off truck, street sweeper, front-end loader, farm tractor, etc.).

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Operate all Grounds Maintenance logistic equipment (forklift, rolloff truck, street sweeper, front-end loader, farm tractor, etc.).
• Must have valid CDL at time of bidding.
• Ability to lift, pull and/or push up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to walk long distances
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb and descend stairs
• Operate golf cart, street sweeper, fork truck, high lift, and other equipment as directed
• Maintain current licenses as needed for all equipment operated
• Monitor and empty, as needed, 50. gal trash containers
• Monitor and empty Dumpsters into appropriate receptacles
• Operate Trash Compactors to maximum usage
• Empty scrap metal bins into appropriate scrap metal containers
• Notify appropriate personnel when contracted haulers trash containers and scrap metal containers are full
• Ensure separation of trash, scrap wood, and scrap metal before discarding
• Inspect and drain rainwater from secondary containment areas when required
• Police plant site for fruit, litter, and debris as directed and dispose of properly
• Support production and service departments as directed
• Be familiar with and able to use assorted hand tools (i.e. drills, hammers, screw drivers, shovels, rakes, etc. for assorted tasks)
• Able to patch/repair potholes with asphalt as directed
• Possess basic problem-solving skills

Purpose:

• Maintain facility premises according to Tropicana guidelines for cleanliness and to support production efforts as needed.
• Maintain facility in a sanitary condition so as to meet GMP, OSHA, USDA, FDA, and AIB standards.

• Promote a positive team environment
• Build the capability of the organization through training

Safety:

• Ensure all safety rules, procedures, policies, and GMP are followed
• Set the example for others by demonstrating adherence to safety rules, procedures, policies, and GMP
• Proactively and aggressively address safety gaps
• Participate in department safety audits and department walk-throughs
• Must be located in Bradenton, FL, surrounding area, or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
• Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
