Job summary

TRDI Incorporated is hiring a full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker for the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station site. The ideal candidate has experience with groundskeeping and landscaping equipment.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required. The role focuses on maintaining grounds for industrial and public properties, operating mowers and trimming tools, and supporting plantings and landscape tasks as part of a diverse maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, parks, and athletic fields.
• Operate and repair equipment including mowers, trimmers, and edging tools.
• Assist with fertilizing lawns, shrubs and trees using spreaders or sprayers.
• Plant grass, flowers and shrubs; water during dry periods and manage landscaping beds.
• Clean and repair fences, gates, benches, and other structures; sweep and clean work areas.

Job description

We are hiring a full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker for our Corpus Christi Naval Air Station site. The ideal candidate has experience with groundskeeping and landscaping equipment. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.

$18.28 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses and athletic fields.
• Repair structures and equipment, performing one or more of the following tasks: cut grass, using walking-type or riding mowers, trim hedges, and edges around curbs and walk ways, maintain flowerbeds using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
• Assist to fertilize or herbicide lawn, shrubs, and trees using ground spreader or sprayers.
• Duties may also include planting grass, flowers, and shrubs, watering lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system, disposing of leaves, paper or other litter; repairing and painting fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings.
• Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment, and may clean comfort stations, offices, workshop areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping and polishing.

May perform other duties as directed by Project Manager.
