Join to apply for the Grounds Maintenance Associate-Seasonal role at World Equestrian Center.

Located on State Route 730 in Wilmington, Ohio, The World Equestrian Center is currently seeking Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Associates to join our team.

This will be a seasonal position hiring immediately until the end of October, with the possibility of full-time employment at the end of the season.

Job Summary

The Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the overall exterior appearance and grooming of the property grounds, walkways, and parking areas. This includes landscaping duties, snow maintenance, and exterior building maintenance, with a primary focus on guest experience and safety.

Essential Functions

• Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as golf carts, lawn mowers, snowblowers.
• Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
• Care for established lawns by weeding, grubbing, edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Police grounds and common areas, remove litter daily.
• Maintain or repair using basic tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
• Mix and spray non-restricted weed killer using hand sprayers, hand pull weeds.
• Monitor irrigation systems for proper coverage and report issues/breakage, water consumption, and to prevent waste.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other ground features.
• Water lawns, trees, plants, or flowerpots using portable sprinklers, hoses, or watering cans.
• Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds.
• Rakemulch beds and dispose of leaves/debris.
• Repair asphalt potholes in drives and parking lots.
• Support departmental maintenance programs and execute daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
• Installation of holiday décor and lighting throughout the property.
• Maintain roof gutters and storm sewer drainage systems.
• Power wash mobile units and porches.
• Assist with moving furniture in and out of units and assembling furniture.

Physical Requirements

These physical demands are necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.

• Stand for long periods, push, pull, lift, shovel, reach, and grab.
• Exert up to 100 pounds of force and regularly lift 55 lbs.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent customer service skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
