Located on State Route 730 in Wilmington, Ohio, The World Equestrian Center is currently seeking Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Associates to join our team.

This is a seasonal position, hiring immediately until the end of October, with the possibility of full-time employment at the end of the season.

Job Summary:

The Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the overall exterior appearance and grooming of the property grounds, walkways, and parking areas. This includes landscaping duties, snow maintenance, and exterior building maintenance, with a primary focus on guest experience and safety.

Essential Functions:

1. Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as golf carts, lawn mowers, snowblowers.
2. Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
3. Care for established lawns by weeding, grubbing, edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
4. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
5. Police grounds and common areas, removing litter daily.
6. Maintain or repair structures using basic tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, fences, or benches.
7. Mix and spray non-restricted weed killer using hand sprayers, and pull weeds by hand.
8. Monitor irrigation systems for proper coverage, report issues or breakage, water consumption, and prevent waste.
9. Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other ground features.
10. Water lawns, trees, plants, or flowerpots using portable sprinklers, hoses, or watering cans.
11. Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds.
12. Rake mulch beds and dispose of leaves or debris.
13. Repair asphalt potholes in drives and parking lots.
14. Support departmental maintenance programs and execute daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
15. Install holiday décor and lighting throughout the property.
16. Maintain roof gutters and storm sewer drainage systems.
17. Power wash mobile units and porches.
18. Assist with moving furniture in and out of units and assembling furniture.

Physical Requirements:

These demands include standing for long periods, pushing, pulling, lifting, shoveling, reaching, and grabbing. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force and regularly lift 55 lbs. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
