Job summary

The Caton Companies’ Management Services Corporation (MSC) is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds Technician Assistant for Ashley Park Apartments in Richmond, VA. This full-time position supports the Facilities Department in keeping outdoor and common areas safe, clean, and attractive year-round. You will assist with basic apartment maintenance, learn plumbing/electrical/HVAC basics, and participate in turnover, trash-out, and grounds upkeep.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• No prior skill required; willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor and common areas to keep property safe and attractive.
• Assist with maintenance and turnover, including basic repairs and work orders.
• Cross-train in plumbing, electrical, and basic HVAC.
• Perform trash-out duties at vacated apartments and keep grounds clean.
• Ensure exterior lighting is working and pool area is maintained.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as needed.
