Job summary

The Bridgewater Club is seeking a Golf Landscaper/Greenskeeper to perform routine golf course maintenance and operate related equipment under supervision. The role includes assisting with greens, tees, and fairways, laying sod, seeding, and soil preparation to keep the course in top condition.

You will work with the maintenance team, return equipment to its place, report issues promptly, and adhere to safety rules. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected, as业务需要.

Responsibilities

• Operate small hand-powered equipment and/or larger equipment (tractors, mowers) safely.

• Prepare soil base, lay sod, and seed tees, greens, and fairways.
• Seed tees, greens, and fairways to maintain quality turf.
• Return equipment to designated locations in the maintenance facility and address issues promptly.
• Assist in project work related to greens, tees, and fairways development.
• Maintain clean work areas by picking up trash and removing clutter.
• Dressed in provided uniform at start of shift and follow safety protocols.

Description

As the Golf Landscaper/Greenskeeper at The Bridgewater Club (under the supervision of the golf course superintendent, assistant superintendent, or supervisor) you will perform routine manual labor involved in and/or related to golf course maintenance (performing semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work). You will also operate small hand powered equipment and occasionally perform work involving larger equipment/machines (tractors, fairway units, triplex mowers, walking mowers, etc.).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to operate equipment safely and properly including string trimmers, edgers, and backpack blowers
• Maintain bunkers
• Return all equipment to the designated location in the maintenance facility
• Promptly report any equipment issues.
• Assist in project work including, but not limited to: construction of greens, tees, and fairways, preparing soil base, laying sod, and seeding tees, greens, and fairways
• Seed tees, greens, and fairways
• Safely and properly light motorized equipment.
• Maintain effective communication with fellow team members.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules and wearing appropriate safety equipment including safety helmets, ear protection, and non-skid shoes.
• Complete required job duties in the most efficient, productive manner ensuring a well-groomed golf course.
• Assist in maintaining a clean environment including picking up trash in visible areas and eliminating clutter.
• Dressed in provided shirt and approved pants at the start of each shift.
• Uphold a reliable and responsible work ethic with the ability to follow directions both verbal and written.
• Maintaining focus on the job at hand with a sense of ownership in quality of job performance.
• Able to work weekends and holidays, mornings, and evenings as business demands.
• Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts (and associated noise levels related to) and outside weather conditions.
