Job summary

Kittle Property Group in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a maintenance/groundskeeper to ensure the grounds are clean and safe for residents and visitors. You will be responsible for picking up trash on grounds, sweeping, snow removal, and assisting with trash-outs of vacated units, including debris removal and minor repairs, as needed.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret basic instructions and simple information.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide by 10s/100s.
• Beginner computer skills are sufficient.

Position Summary

Make sure the grounds are free of trash. Clean and sweep up trash and handle or assist with trash-outs of units.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up trash on grounds
• Clean out hallways
• Snow Removal
• Trash-outs of vacated units including but not limited to removal of debris, furniture, and appliances, painting and minor repair work.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions, simple correspondence and present information one-on-one or in small groups.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide by 10s & 100s
• Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions with common sense understanding. Ability to deal with problems that involve few variables in standardized situations.
• Beginner computer skills.

Work Environment
