Job summary

The City of Hendersonville is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to perform routine labor on city facilities, streets, and grounds. Duties include mowing, trimming, mulching, and debris removal, with attention to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities cover seasonal leaf and snow tasks, event setup, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces and buildings. A valid driver’s license and training in flagging and safety are required or pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance of grounds preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing equipment to maintain city properties, cemeteries, turf and athletic fields.
• Assist with landscaping, mulching, and debris removal.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of work areas and facilities.
• Support snow/ice removal and event setup/cleanup.
• Follow safety procedures and work as part of a team.
