Job summary

City of Clarksville is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker at the second level of the Grounds and Facilities Maintenance series. The role performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor including mowing, trimming, weed eating, equipment operation, and related outdoor tasks to maintain city parks and public spaces.

The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of related experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic work etiquette and manual labor.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs grounds maintenance activities including mowing, edging, watering, weeding, trimming shrubs and trees, and weed abatement.
• Operates and maintains grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, weed eaters, and chainsaws.
• Performs road maintenance tasks including patching potholes and cleaning roads and public areas.
• Maintains records related to equipment operation, maintenance requests, and ground maintenance activities.
• Performs other related work as required.
