Job summary

The City of Florence is seeking a Maintenance Worker for Beautification & Facilities to perform general grounds maintenance and operate equipment. A valid SC driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required. The role includes evening and weekend shifts as needed and salary is $16.12/hour for 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds maintenance: mowing, weeding, mulching, weed eating, pruning, raking, and cleaning.
• Clean streets and curbsides to clear debris; collect refuse and trash at City facilities and properties.
• Operate mowers, tractors, utility trucks and other power tools; perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs to equipment.
• Work in all weather conditions including extreme heat/cold, rain, noise, wind and pollen.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
