Job summary

SSC Services for Education, part of Compass Group, is hiring immediately for a Groundskeeper Director in Charleston County School District. The role is Monday–Friday with a pay range of $100,000 to $120,000 plus a 20% bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

As STAT Team member, you’ll support interim management across custodial, grounds, and facilities programs, train staff, manage budgets, and report progress to project and regional managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in Facilities Management/Engineering, Horticulture/Agronomy or related technical schooling.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in custodial, maintenance or grounds.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Installs standard programs in Custodial, Grounds and POM using best practices.
• Trains account personnel in cleaning, grounds and maintenance procedures and safety.
• Performs functions of a manager on an interim basis.
• Operates QA programs, CMMS, monthly reports and QBR.
• Interfaces with clients and staff to provide project status reports.
