Job summary

UCLA Facilities Management seeks a Grounds Equipment Operator to support upkeep of the 419-acre campus, maintaining lawns, walkways, courtyards, and athletic fields. You will operate power grounds equipment and hand tools, following safety guidelines and supervisor instructions to preserve campus beauty and health.

We require one year of relevant equipment experience, a valid CA Class C license, forklift and backhoe certifications, and availability for weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid CA noncommercial Class C license.
• Forklift certification required.
• Backhoe certification required.
• One-year experience operating medium to heavy power grounds equipment or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate power grounds equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain campus grounds—lawns, walkways, courtyards, gardens, athletic fields.
• Follow written orders and complete assignments with accuracy.
• Respond to emergencies and overtime as required.
