Job summary

Monster Tree Service of Middle Tennessee is looking for a Grounds Crew member to support our tree care teams in the field. You will work with crews to prepare sites, handle equipment, and ensure safety at all times.

Responsibilities include operating chippers and saws, unloading and organizing materials, and driving trucks as needed. A valid license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, with outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must operate and maintain chippers, chainsaws, and other equipment safely.
• Prior experience with trimming, limbing, and heavy equipment preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Uses hand lines to lower limbs and equipment.
• Unloads, lays out, prepares, and stows materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Works from the ground using handsaws and pole saws; drives trucks and operates other equipment as assigned.
• Maintains trucks and equipment; reports repairs to crew leader.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in communication with workers aloft.
• Participates in weekly safety meetings and daily job briefings.
• Adheres to safety standards including PPE usage.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Performs related work as assigned.
