Join us as a Grounds Crew Laborer at Security National Financial Corporation

We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Crew Laborer to maintain cemetery grounds, operate equipment, assist in burials, and perform winter maintenance tasks. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Meet performance standards established with the manager, including quality of work and timeliness.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs to cemetery grounds, ensuring they are well-maintained and presentable.
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, and chainsaws.
• Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, clippers, and saws for various tasks.
• Install and maintain sprinkler systems, and perform landscape construction and maintenance.
• Assist in burials at grave sites and maintain grave sites appropriately.
• Remove snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots; spread salt as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support cemetery operations.

Requirements:

• One year of experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Valid Utah Driver License is required.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment and sprinkler systems is beneficial.
• Awareness of safety precautions related to equipment operation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with supervisors and the public.
