Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Previous grounds, custodial, maintenance, or landscaping experience preferred.
  • Texas driver's license preferred.
  • Must be available to work weekends, special events, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Jira ticketing system daily to ensure projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily tasks including trash pickup, turf maintenance, power washing, leaf blowing, and cleaning.
  • Maintain hardscapes at Magnolia properties including pavers, sidewalks, fountains, and parking areas.
  • Paint, clean and repair exterior furniture, fencing, and fan components.
  • Support facilities with preventive maintenance checks on outlets, lights, and timers.
  • Support garden and facilities with irrigation maintenance and repairs.
  • Tool and vehicle preventive maintenance on a routine cadence.
  • Operate power tools and vehicles such as drills, saws, skid steers, golf carts.
  • Check drainage canals and drains for debris and clear as needed.
  • Maintain daily organization and cleanliness of designated areas.
  • Conduct property checks at Magnolia locations.
  • Assess damages after storms and implement corrections.
  • Winterize Magnolia properties with team assistance.
  • Assist garden tasks and new install projects as needed.
  • Engage guests with Magnolia information and promote safety.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

SUMMARY

At Magnolia, the Grounds Crew is responsible for playing a key part of the overall guest experience by assisting with maintenance and cleanliness of all Magnolia properties. This position works from various locations in and near Waco, Texas. It reports to the Grounds Facilities Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize Jira ticketing system daily to ensure projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner*
  • Perform daily tasks, including trash pickup, turf maintenance, power washing, leaf blowing and vacuuming, cleaning tables and benches, weed eating, weed control, pest control, etc.*
  • Maintain hardscapes at Magnolia properties including pavers, sidewalks, fountains, parking lots, fences, benches, picnic tables, tables and chairs, umbrellas, and driveways*
  • Painting, cleaning and repairs of all exterior furniture, fencing, and fan maintenance
  • Support the facilities team by performing regular preventative maintenance checks on outlets, light switches, string lights, fans, and digital timers making repairs while ensuring operational efficiency*
  • Support the garden and facilities teams by performing regular preventative maintenance checks on irrigation, water meters, hose spigots and making repairs while ensuring operational efficiency*
  • Tool and vehicle preventative maintenance on a routine cadence
  • Using power tools including drills, impacts, saws and driving skid steer, gators, and golf carts
  • Checking all SWPPP drainage canals and French drains for debris and cleaning as needed
  • The daily maintenance, organization and cleanliness of designated areas
  • Property checks at all Magnolia locations
  • Checking properties during and after storms to access damages that may have occurred and correcting the issues
  • Winterization of all Magnolia properties with assistance from the facilities team
  • Assist with garden maintenance tasks such as preparing soil and planting beds, watering, weeding, and pruning as needed
  • Assist garden team during new install projects, including loading and unloading materials, preparing planters and planting areas, and other related responsibilities
  • Assess guest needs, engage and connect with information about Magnolia
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works outside and is frequently exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
