Job summary

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is seeking a Grounds Crew member to support golf course maintenance and landscape management at our 1,300-acre AAA Four Diamond resort in Lake Geneva, WI. You will work with supervisors across mowing, edging, fertilizing, and debris removal to keep the course in top condition.

Applicants should be comfortable outdoors in all weather, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and capable of working weekends and holidays while providing consistent, high-quality grounds care.

Qualifications

• Prior golf course groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Comfort outdoors in hot and cold weather.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing equipment to maintain fairways, greens, roughs, and tees at target heights.
• Edge around trees, shrubs, pathways, sand traps, and other features for a clean look.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed to maintain plant health.
• Rake and level sand traps, ensuring proper shaping and debris removal.
• Ensure course is ready for golfers; restock ball washers and verify signage.
• Remove leaves and debris to keep the course tidy.
• Work outside in extreme weather conditions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Operate various types of mowing equipment to maintain fairways, greens, roughs, and tees at the desired height and appearance
• Trim and edge around trees, shrubs, pathways, sand traps, and other features to maintain a clean and polished look
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed to maintain plant health and appearance
• Rake and level sand traps, ensuring they are free of debris and properly shaped
• Ensure all areas of the course are ready for golfers, including restocking ball washers and ensuring signage is accurate
• Remove leaves, branches, and other debris from the course to maintain a tidy appearance
• Ability to work outside in both extreme hot and cold weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

What do you bring to the role?

• Familiarity with lawn care tasks (lawn mowing, landscaping, grounds keeping, grounds maintenance, weed-eating, trimming, raking, debris blowing, hand weeding, garbage/litter pick up, planting, watering, fertilizing, etc.) preferred
• Flexible availability, must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to multitask and efficiently complete tasks
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and kneel continuously and lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Comfort with mechanical equipment
