Job summary

Edgebrook Golf Course in Chicago, IL is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Grounds Crew member for up to six months. The role offers an hourly pay range of $17.75 to $18.00 and includes benefits under the Troon umbrella for eligible staff.

The successful candidate will maintain course aesthetics, operate greens and fairway machinery, manage irrigation and turf care, and support landscape restoration with fertilizer, seeding, and mulching tasks in a fast-paced golf environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience operating greens/fairway mowers is preferred.
• Must be able to create spray programs for the golf course, including greens, tees, and fairways.
• Must be able to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Ability to give oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Pay:

$17.75 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
