Job summary

Alila Ventana Big Sur, a Hyatt Hotels brand, is seeking a Grounds Attendant to maintain the resort grounds, including campground and housing areas, ensuring beauty and cleanliness throughout the property. The role requires outdoor work for 8 hours daily with lifting of moderate to heavy weights.

The position offers a starting wage of $23 per hour, with full availability from 6:30am to 2:30pm, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working outside in all weather conditions.
• Landscaping experience is preferred, but not required.
• English speaking is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain beauty and cleanliness of resort grounds (including campground and colleague housing areas).
• Safely operate company vehicles, heavy machinery, and power tools as needed.
• Clip and trim trees, weed, water, rake, and plant across the property.
• Participate in forestry projects for fire safety and other property improvement initiatives.

The Grounds Attendant is responsible for maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the resort grounds (including campground and colleague housing areas), which includes but is not limited to weeding, watering, raking, and planting throughout the hotel property. This person must have the ability to lift moderate to heavy weight and work on their feet outdoors in all weather conditions for 8 hours a day. Job requirements include the ability to safely operate company vehicles, heavy machinery, and power tools, climb and trim trees, and navigate steep and/or wooded areas throughout the property. The Grounds Attendant also has the opportunity to work on forestry projects for fire safety, in addition to other miscellaneous property improvements initiatives.

WAGE: The hourly rate for this role is $23/hr.

SHIFT: this position requires full availability from 6:30am to 2:30pm. Weekends and Holidays are required
