Job summary

Riggs Tree Service is seeking hard-working, safety-driven operators who know how to perform in the field and take pride in the work. If you have experience around chainsaws, chippers, and active job sites, we want to talk to you.

You will be the backbone of the crew — keeping operations moving safely, efficiently, and professionally. This is field work in outdoor environments requiring physical stamina and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with chainsaws and/or chippers preferred.
• Strong understanding of job site safety and PPE requirements.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work daily.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support chainsaws and chippers in active job site conditions.
• Assist with tree felling, limbing, brush handling, and debris processing.
• Set up and maintain traffic control zones and safe work areas.
• Establish and maintain drop zones for cutting operations.
• Perform daily inspections and pre-trip checks.
• Safely start, operate, and shut down chippers per SOP.
