PIKE Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundsman to support underground electrical distribution construction and maintenance. You will assist with new construction, repairs, and maintenance of underground systems, reporting to the Foreman.

The role requires outdoor work in extreme conditions and being part of an on-call rotation. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining excavation equipment, assisting with installation of underground facilities, and ensuring PPE and safety protocols are

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while putting safety first.
• Help install and repair underground facilities, underground conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment to include backhoes, trenchers, excavators, and pulling equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and a comprehensive understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential.
• Inspect rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Understanding of when to wear personal protective equipment.
• Will perform rigorous physical labor.
