Zusammenfassung

Trap Rock Industries, LLC seeks an asphalt plant groundman/laborer to support safe, continuous plant operations through manual labor, cleaning, and basic maintenance.

You will sweep, shovel, grease machinery, load/unload materials, and assist the plant operator in daily production tasks while wearing required PPE and working outdoors in varied weather. Experience in construction is a plus; willingness to work long hours, nights, and weekends is required.

Aufgaben

• Clean up spilled asphalt, sweep, shovel, and operate a skid steer to clear debris.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on conveyor belts, crushers, and hot plant machinery.
• Load/unload materials and assist with stockpiles or leftover mix.
• Maintain a clean job site, wear PPE, and support daily production tasks.
• Assist plant operator and help with daily production duties.

Jobbeschreibung

An asphalt plant groundman (or laborer)ensures the safe, continuous operation of the facility through manual labor, heavy cleaning, and basic maintenance. They maintain the site by cleaning conveyor belts, shoveling asphalt, cleaning spills, and performing preventive maintenance on machinery in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

• Cleaning up spilled asphalt, sweeping, shoveling, and operating a skid steer to clear debris.
• Greasing, oiling, and performing minor repairs on conveyor belts, crushers, and hot plant machinery.
• Loading/unloading materials and assisting with the management of stockpiles or leftover mix.
• Maintaining a clean job site to eliminate hazards and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Supporting the plant operator and aiding with daily production tasks.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• Experience in construction or industrial environments is a plus.

Work Requirements

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Proficiency with hand/power tools and potentially welding/torching experience.
