Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager in Kansas City to lead ground-up construction projects from planning through commissioning. You will coordinate with architects, vendors, and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires at least 3 years GC PM experience, a CM/CE degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with project management software and MS Office. Competitive pay and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle from planning to commissioning.
• Negotiate contracts with architects, vendors, contractors, and workers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure safety standards.
• Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.
• Implement cost-control measures to keep projects within budget.
• Resolve contract disputes and design problems during construction.
• Lead and manage project teams for optimal performance.
• Prepare and present project updates to clients and senior management.
