Job summary

Rocket Lab’s Ground Systems Engineering team at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, seeks a capable Ground Systems Engineer II to design, build, and maintain critical test facilities for Archimedes engine and Neutron launch vehicles. You’ll join propulsion and test operations to define requirements and ensure reliable test operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering; or other technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in rocket engine test stand or launch complex design and build.
• Working knowledge in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain critical test facilities to support Archimedes engine and Neutron launch vehicles.
• Collaborate with engine and test teams to develop requirements for test stand design.
• Maintain and upgrade facility infrastructure and test capabilities.
• Support engine hardware and engine test operations as needed.
• Prepare and perform tests on key engine and stage hardware with test operators.

Education
