Amentum is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Worker at the MCAS Beaufort, SC site. You will repair and maintain GSE, troubleshoot malfunctions with meters, and document actions to ensure serviceability.

The role requires at least two years on automotive/mobile equipment, a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the ability to obtain CAC and pass pre-employment screening. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Job description

Amentum is currently searching for Ground Support Equipment Worker to work in our MCASBeaufort, SC Site.

The Ground Support Equipment Worker makes repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) following orders of a higher-grade worker, troubleshoots malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and hand tools, prepares GSE for storage and transportation, documents maintenance actions. This worker performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air, disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components. In addition, the Ground Support Equipment Worker removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications, stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations, operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles; maintains vehicle records, maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for GSE, and practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times. Corrosion control may include periodic assignment to an enclosed blast/paint booth that requires the use of forced air respiration devices. Use of a forced air respirator will require the employee to be clean shaven for adequate seal and fit purposes.

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
• At a minimum two (2) years of experience working on Automotive/Mobile Equipment..
• Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks, Respirator, Corrosion Control, and Blasting.
• There is a great deal of standing, climbing, bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) which includes a 7-year background check for installation access.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Must be able to possess and maintain tools required on a minimum tool listing within 30 days of hire date.
• Must have a Negative pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 Secret Eligible status.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military Aviation Support Equipment experience.
• Prior GSE operatorexperience.

Compensation Details:

$38.78
