Job summary

Aircraft-Service-International-Group- at Tampa International Airport is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair, and service refueling equipment and vehicle systems.

You will perform quality checks, maintain records, and support safe operations while working variable shifts and complying with safety policies.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years mechanical experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs.
  • Must be flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Airports/Custom badges/seals.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment.
  • Maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
  • Provide preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment per health, safety and security policies.

Job description

Location: Tampa International Airport, TPA

Pay: $19.00/hour - $24.00/hour

Main accountabilities include:
  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines,
    hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment.
  • Maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
  • Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to
    equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security
    policies and procedures.
  • Assuring a clean and safe working environment
  • Other duties and tasks as required.

  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3 to 5 years mechanical experience
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must pass background check and obtain Custom seal.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
