ACET, Incorporated, is seeking an experienced GSE Mechanic with a Collateral Duty Inspector background to support H-1 Organizational Level maintenance in Jacksonville, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and inspect GSE for AH-1Z/UH-1Y platforms, ensuring assets meet RFI readiness and readiness for flight.

The role requires CDI qualification, ability to read complex schematics, and documenting actions in NALCOMIS/O-OMA. Work involves a high-noise environment and potential security access requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aviation GSE maintenance experience in military or contractor settings.
• Must hold or have previously held a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification.
• Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, and NAVAIR publications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GSE at squadron level to meet RFI standards.
• Perform as CDI inspecting work center tasks and sign logs per NAMP.
• Teardown, build-up, inspection, and safe inflation/deflation of aircraft wheels per NAVAIR regs.
• Service rotary-wing support equipment (hydraulic test stands, MEPPs, tow tractors, dollies).
• Document maintenance actions and sign-offs using NALCOMIS/O-OMA.

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced GSE Mechanic with a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) background to support the H-1 Organizational Level. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and inspect powered and non-powered aviation ground support equipment (GSE) supporting AH-1Z and UH-1Y rotary-wing aircraft. Your primary mission is to ensure equipment transitions efficiently through the maintenance cycle to produce Ready For Issue (RFI) assets that maximize flight-line readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GSE at the squadron level, ensuring assets meet all quality standards to be certified as Ready For Issue (RFI).
• Perform as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) conducting in-process and final inspections on all work center maintenance tasks. Sign off on logs to certify compliance with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) standards.
• Perform teardown, build-up, inspection, and safe inflation/deflation of aviation support equipment wheels in strict compliance with NAVAIR tire and wheel safety regulations.
• Service rotary-wing specific support equipment, including hydraulic test stands, mobile electric power plants (MEPPs), tow tractors, and aircraft spotting dollies used for AH/UH platforms.
• Accurately document all maintenance actions, inspector sign-offs, and part requests using NALCOMIS / Optimized NALCOMIS (O-OMA).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of military or contractor aviation GSE maintenance experience (MOS 6071, 6072, 6073, or civilian equivalent), specifically within a MALS or Navy AIMD work center environment.
• Must hold or have previously held a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification under the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
• Proven ability to interpret complex hydraulic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and NAVAIR technical publications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installation and relevant MALS facilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and manipulate up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and squat for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a high-noise environment and around aircraft-related operations.
• Fit-for-duty and/or respiratory physical may be required based on contract requirements.
