Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) invites applications for a Ground Systems Software Engineer 3 in Vulcan Development. You will develop, maintain, and deliver software for the launch vehicle's avionics and ground support equipment, collaborating with an Agile team to meet real-time requirements.

The role involves technical leadership, system design reviews, and support during manufacturing and launch countdown. Minimum 4 years in a related role with a STEM degree, strong C/C++ skills, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 4+ years of related work experience.
• Experience on an Agile development team.
• Ability to design, develop and deliver software solutions independently.
• Experience presenting system architecture to internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience in SDLC, OO designs and C/C++.
• Experience with Git and configuration management practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and TDD.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop software for the Vulcan launch vehicle's avionics and ground support systems.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on development within the Ground Software team.
• Deliver mission-critical software for manufacturing, preflight tests and launch countdowns.
• Support launch events by collaborating with operations teams.
• Interface with customers, suppliers and users to meet stakeholder needs.
