Expeditors is seeking a full-time warehouse operations professional in Melrose Park, IL. The role focuses on workload allocation, meeting deadlines, and supporting regional staffing with a strong emphasis on cargo integrity and efficient documentation.

You will collaborate with the Ground Network Services team to optimize load plans, monitor shipments, and ensure KPI-driven performance. Competitive benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Qualificações

• Experience with warehouse management systems used in facilities and supporting technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• GDP (Goods Distribution Practice) training is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Allocate workloads within the department.
• Ensure department deadlines are met in a timely manner.
• Contribute to weekly department meetings with the team.
• Review department goals and business plans with the team.
• Assist Regional Manager with staffing requirements and scheduling for Ground Network Services operations.
• Develop and implement best practices for load utilization and cargo integrity.
• Assist warehouse manager with cargo sort plans, dock schedules, staging, and processing times.
• Ensure receipt of all required documentation including load manifests and bills of lading.
• Monitor OS&D shipments and support documentation for consolidations in e.tms Export/Import.
• Collaborate to meet KPI standards and identify capacity constraints.
• Support contingencies to expand ad hoc capacity and arrange reroutes and additional trucks.
• Ensure service provider equipment is in place at regional branches to facilitate operations.

Job Description

• Allocate workloads within the department.

• Contribute to the effective weekly department meetings with team.
• Review department goals and business plan periodically with team to ensure buy-in and accountability.
• Assist the Regional Manager in establishing all staffing requirements and scheduling to support Ground Network Services operations.
• Assist in developing and implementing best practices for load utilization and cargo integrity.
• Assist the warehouse manager in developing and implementing cargo sort operating plans and work instructions, including dock plans for door schedules and sequencing, staging and segregation, door load assignments, and processing times as necessary.
• make sure the warehouse receives all required documentation including load manifests and bills of lading. Assist in managing trailer inventories, yard services, security, and access to facilitate the sortation operations.
• Monitor OS&D shipments.
• Support documentation as needed, including processing consolidations in e.tms Export and Import and monitoring workflows.
• Work with the team on meeting KPI standards, as per the company’s procedures.
• Identifying potential capacity constraints in the scheduled network.
• Assist in enacting contingencies to expand ad hoc capacity as needed, and arranging reroutes and additional trucks as necessary.
• Ensure service provider equipment is in place at regional branches to facilitate operations.
