Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Ground Network Warehouse Agent for a 4:00 pm – 1:00 am night shift. This full-time role supports global logistics and cargo handling at a major Expeditors facility in North Olmsted, OH.

You will ensure timely deadlines, assist in loading plans, document manifests, and manage trailers and yard operations while maintaining KPI targets and safe, efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management systems and related tech.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Forklift certification/experience required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure department deadlines are met in a timely manner.
• Contribute to effective weekly department meetings with the team.
• Assist in developing and implementing best practices for load utilization and cargo integrity.
• Assist warehouse manager in developing cargo sort operating plans and dock plans, sequencing, staging and segregation, door load assignments, and processing times as needed.
• Ensure the warehouse receives all required documentation including load manifests and bills of lading.
• Assist in managing trailer inventories, yard services, security, and access to facilitate sortation operations.
• Monitor OS&D shipments.
• Support documentation as needed, including processing consolidations in e.tms Export and Import and monitoring workflows.
• Work with the team on meeting KPI standards as per the company procedures.
• Identify potential capacity constraints in the scheduled network.
• Assist in enacting contingencies to expand ad hoc capacity as needed, and arranging reroutes and additional trucks as necessary.
• Ensure service provider equipment is in place at regional branches to facilitate operations.
