Job summary

Expeditors, a global logistics company, is seeking a qualified candidate to join our Phoenix metro team in a logistics/operations capacity. The role emphasizes proactive delay notification, data tracking, capacity planning, and coordination with carriers across routes to ensure on-time performance.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent logistics experience, fluency in English, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Excel/Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language, both written and spoken.
• Proficient with MS Office; Excel skills preferred.
• Experience in coordinating with carriers and managing logistics data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and timely notification of delays to branches (exception management).
• Monitor consolidations to identify mis-routes and data gaps.
• Proactive tracking of lane costs and capacity planning with branches and gateways.
• Track routes in transit and identify pending or potential delays.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure routes have equipment and capacity.
• Monitor daily lane volumes and plan for additional capacity as needed.
• Arrange contingencies with branches, gateways, and carriers as required.

Job Description

Schedule

Sunday – Wednesday 3PM – 2AM (4-10 hour shifts) or Sunday – Thursday 3PM – Midnight (5-8 hour shifts)

Main Job Duties

• Proactive and timely notification of all delays to branches (Exception Management)
• Monitoring consolidations to identify mis-routes and incomplete or inaccurate data.
• Proactive tracking of lane cost protected by branches and gateways.
• Tracking all routes in transit and identifying pending or potential delays.
• Work with carriers to ensure all planned routes have equipment assigned.
• Monitoring daily lane volumes to identify need for additional capacity.
• Identifying the need of and arranging additional capacity for demand and/or service recovery as needed.
• Working with branch, gateways, and carriers to enact contingencies as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or previous logistics experience
• Ability to work in Phoenix, AZ Metro Area
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
• Fluency in written and spoken English language

Desired Qualifications

• Customer Service Experience
• Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Excel, Power Bi, SharePoint, ect)
