Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is seeking a Ground Maintenance Technician (Motorized) based at JFK airport in New York. The role involves inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, and overhauling a diverse fleet of equipment, including motorized units and bodywork.

Data entry and coordination with colleagues are required. Eligible external applicants may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with $2,500 paid after 90 days and $2,500 after 180 days.

• Accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

• Inspects, services, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and overhauls chassis, body, and drive-train components on a diverse equipment fleet.
• Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair, painting, bodywork, and related technical tasks.
• Completes data entry to record work assignments and communicates with other team members as needed.
• Repairs and maintains a mix of motorized equipment and related bodywork.

• Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair, painting, bodywork, and technical work.
• Completing data entry to record work assignments and connecting with other company personnel as needed.
• Repair and perform maintenance on mix of motorized equipment as well as bodywork and other technical work.

External Applicants Only – Ground Maintenance Technician (Motorized) hired to work at the JFK airport receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. You will receive $2,500 after 90 days of employment and the remaining $2,500 after 180 days of employment.

The starting rate for this position can increase within 6 months of your start date, based on premiums offered. Examples include, but are not limited to, ASE Certification, CIMM Certification, shift differential, and skill differential

Eligible Delta employees based in New York City (JFK or LGA) can be reimbursed up to $250 per month for specific transportation expenses incurred while traveling to and from work. Employees using public transit, including trains, buses, subways, ferries or van pools to get to and from JFK or LGA may be eligible.
