Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is hiring Ground EMTs in Alaska to respond to Guardian Flight Alaska calls and provide high-quality patient care within established protocols and company policies. Essential duties include maintaining current certifications, following treatment protocols, operating a company vehicle safely, documenting care, and coordinating with EMS teams.

The role requires an Alaska EMT license, BLS/CPR, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Current State of Alaska EMT-I, EMT-II or EMT-III License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Clean Driving Record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements and QA procedures.
• Ensure certification is current and in good standing for assigned tasks.
• Operate a company vehicle in accordance with policy and safe practices.
• Locate addresses quickly using maps and street layouts.
• Keep medical supplies and equipment clean, ready, and stocked.
• Complete required documentation and report discrepancies to Lead Paramedic.
