Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring a Restaurant Cook to oversee stations including Food Production, Grill, Fryer, and related tasks. The role requires preparing and cooking orders, proper portioning, and ensuring quality across items while maintaining a clean work area.

Flexibility with hours, teamwork, and adherence to uniform and hygiene standards are essential; prior restaurant/retail knowledge is a plus. SONIC promotes equal opportunity employment and provides training and discounts.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food orders to meet product quality standards.
• Food preparation and portioning.
• Cooking on the grill.
• Operating the fry station.
• Dressing items to order.
• Packaging all menu items and checking for product quality and consistency.
• Cleaning including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counter-tops and sanitizing food area.
