Job summary

Mammoth Mountain is seeking a Grooming Supervisor for the Tube Park during Winter 26-27. You will operate Snow Cat equipment to groom trails, build ramps, and shape terrain for Snow play zones and tubing lanes, reporting to the Operations/Facilities Manager.

This seasonal, full-time role requires 1–2 seasons of experience with snow grooming, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours in a mountain environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 full-time seasons operating snow grooming equipment.
• Ability to operate different size snowcats, prepare and finish ramps and construct terrain for Snow play zones and tubing lanes.
• Strong verbal communication and adequate writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Groom existing trails and form tube lanes.
• Build ramps and shape snow for Tubing lanes.
• Operate Snow Cat under supervision of Operations/Facilities Manager; perform equipment maintenance as needed.
• Support on-mountain activations and general facility maintenance.

A little about this position:

• Join us in creating an amazing snow surface experience for our guests in fun and dynamic environment at Mammoth's newest year-round attraction. Woolly's Adventure Summit.
• In this role, you will operate a Snow Cat on the slopes and trails under the direction of an Operations/Facilities Manager. Must have the ability to groom existing trails, build ramps, form tube lanes, shape and push snow. Additional work hours will be available performing equipment maintenance, creating on mountain activations and facility maintenance.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 full time seasons of operating snow grooming equipment.
• Ability to operate different size snowcats, prepare and finish ramps and construct specialized terrain for Snow play zones and Tubing lanes.
• Strong verbal communication skills and adequate writing abilities.
• Ability to solve problems in a dynamic mountain environment.
• Familiarity with snow removal equipment.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a ski resort setting.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, shoveling snow, and working in varying weather conditions, including direct sun and adverse weather.

Hourly pay rate: $22.77 to $24.58
