Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. is seeking a Grooming Salon Leader in Seattle to lead grooming operations and coach a team of groomers.

You will deliver expert grooming services, ensure high customer satisfaction, and drive salon performance while maintaining the safety and well-being of every pet in our care. Qualifications

2+ years’ experience as a professional groomer.
Strong leadership skills, with 1–2 years previous salon management experience preferred.
High-school diploma or GED preferred.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with pet parents and grooming team members.
Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements and behaviors.
Expert-level proficiency in breed-specific cuts, styling techniques, and grooming standards.
Genuine passion for animals and desire to continue a career in grooming.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills with guidance as needed.
Results-driven with focus on salon productivity, performance, growth and improvement.
Strong attention to detail ensuring grooming services meet high standards.
Capable of handling pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy.
Available to work full time at a minimum of 35 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations, optimize workflows, scheduling, and inventory.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise grooming staff, provide coaching and performance evaluations.
Create and manage grooming schedules to maximize productivity and meet demand.
Monitor salon performance metrics such as revenue and customer satisfaction; develop action plans.
Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets and salon objectives.
Interact professionally with pet parents, provide exceptional service and recommendations.
Stay updated on grooming industry trends and best practices.
Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
