Job summary

Petco is seeking a Grooming Salon Leader to manage salon operations and deliver high-quality grooming services for our customers’ pets. You will lead a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, uphold grooming standards, and drive salon performance toward our growth goals.

You will coach both entry-level and seasoned groomers, perform expert grooming, and maintain a safe, clean environment while staying current with industry trends and company policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a professional groomer or completion of a grooming program
• 1–2 years salon management experience preferred
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for animals and commitment to grooming excellence

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day salon operations, scheduling, and grooming capacity
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate groomers
• Monitor revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity metrics
• Provide exceptional customer service to pet parents and grooming recommendations
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and safety practices
• Uphold Petco grooming policies and standards
• Perform professional grooming services per breed standards and company policies
