Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and terrain for sustained periods.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, swing or night shift, any days of the week.
  • At least three years of ski resort grooming experience is preferred, but not required.
  • A valid, current, unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ski slopes and trails to ensure a safe, smooth skiing experience for all guests.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including snowcats and snowmobiles, for slope preparation and maintenance.
  • Assist with resort events, ensuring courses are properly prepared and safe.

  • Work in varying and harsh weather conditions and during late-night hours.

Willamette Pass Resort has an opportunity for an experienced groomer who enjoys creating impeccably groomed slopes and trails. If snow is your passion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain ski slopes and trails assiduously to ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable skiing experience for all guests.
  • Operate and handle heavy machinery, including but not limited to snowcats and snowmobiles, for the purpose of slope preparation and maintenance.
  • Assist with resort events, such as races or other gatherings, ensuring courses are properly prepared, safe, and meet the specific requirements of each event.
  • Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on grooming equipment to ensure their functionality and longevity, addressing any minor issues or malfunctions promptly.
  • Exhibit resilience to work in varying weather conditions, often harsh, and during late-night hours.
  • Assist in snow removal in parking lots and driveways as necessary.
  • Actively participate in regular safety briefings and training, staying updated with the latest best practices to mitigate any potential hazards.
  • Collaborate proactively with other team members to improve the overall guest experience, including communicating with management teams about current conditions to ensure a unified response to changing circumstances.
