Job summary

Angel Fire Resort is seeking an experienced Grooming (Slope Operations) Manager to lead the Grooming Department and deliver the best snow surface possible. This role oversees nightly grooming, coordinates winch cat operations, and ensures safety and quality across the slope operations team.

The position supports year-round resort activities, with summer projects including snowmaking infrastructure, bike trail maintenance, ski trail work, erosion control, and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience; and at least five years of heavy machine operating experience including snowcats and winch cats; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills to build and maintain Terrain Parks and special event courses.

Responsibilities

• Manages nightly grooming operations, including equipment scheduling, winch cat coordination, and snow surface quality assurance.
• Provides daily supervision and management of the department.
• Develops, implements, and manages employee training programs to ensure proper procedures are followed at all times.
• Ensures all employees follow safety procedures for snowcat operations.
• Manages department budget and purchasing of equipment and supplies.
• Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service and attendance.
• Trains employees on procedures and inspects performance.
