Job summary

Destination Pet Pittsburgh is seeking a professional groomer to shape, trim, and style dogs to breed standards and owner preferences. You will bathe, clip nails, clean ears, brush teeth, and chat with pet parents while keeping your station neat and safe.

Qualifications

• Professional grooming experience is required, with ability to groom a range of breeds and coat types.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work with large or nervous dogs safely.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team while maintaining a calm demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Snipping, shaping, and styling pets per owner preferences or breed standards.
• Bathing dogs and pre-conditioning with bathers as needed.
• Trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing teeth, and tidying the tail end.
• Chatting with pet parents about grooming needs and coat care.
• Keeping station neat, tools sharp, and work area safe.
• Assisting front desk when pups are ready for pickup and providing exceptional care.
