Independent Pet Partners is seeking a dedicated Groomer to provide upscale pet styling and exceptional care. You will perform grooming services, educate pet parents, and support growth through client engagement. The role often includes evenings and weekends to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months of professional experience in pet grooming.
• Grooming tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Passion for dog grooming and the well‑being of pets.
• Knowledgeable in breed standard grooms.
• Skills in scissoring, general cleaning, nail trimming, styling, and all other pet grooming functions.
• Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends.
• Exceptional active‑listening and customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Grooming certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete superior grooms (bathing, brushing, blow drying, de‑matting, trimming, gland expression, teeth brushing, nail clipping).
• Provide hands‑on pet check-in/check-out for each pet and parent.
• Warn pet parents of any anomalies observed during grooming.
• Engage pet parents with product knowledge and education.
• Offer enhancements to meet pets’ and owners’ needs to grow the business.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Rebook with pet parents for timely, holistic care.
• Other duties as assigned.
