Job summary

Tipp to Tail Pet Resort, part of the Tipp City Veterinary Hospital, is seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team full-time or part-time in Tipp City, Ohio. We value quality care and a low-stress grooming experience for pets, with a supportive hospital environment and a strong community focus.

You will groom pets with attention to safety and comfort, collaborate with a knowledgeable team, and enjoy comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a trusted veterinary hospital

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional grooming experience.
• Grooming certification preferred but not required.
• Portfolio may be requested.
• Must have your own grooming hand tools.
• Hand-scissoring skills required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to groom all sizes and temperaments of dogs and cats.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Greet pet parents and discuss grooming preferences.
• Bathe, brush, dry, clip, and style dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes.
• Trim nails and perform ear cleaning.
• Ensure each pet's safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
• Document grooming notes and pricing in our computer system.
• Identify any medical concerns and communicate with the veterinary staff.
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment and clean space.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional demeanor.

What You’ll Do

A test groom will be part of the interview process.

Work Environment & Schedule

You’ll work in a busy, supportive environment with frequent interaction with clients, pets, and staff members. Groomers have access to everything they need - and never work in isolation.

• Availability around holidays is required
• Shared grooming space with occasional solo shifts
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk throughout your shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
• Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Allergic conditions aggravated by animals may be disqualifying

Other Details

• Must have avalid driver’s licenseandreliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• No relocation assistance provided
• Visa sponsorship is not available
