Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a friendly and dependable Grocery Associate to support the Store’s grocery department. The role emphasizes stocking, merchandising, price accuracy and customer assistance, contributing to a clean, organized and appealing shopping area.

You will greet customers, answer questions and help resolve concerns while following company policies and safety guidelines. Training provided as needed to ensure job success.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Build displays to drive incremental sales.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Applies proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, with correct prices and signs.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries.
• Handles damaged or discontinued items according to company policy.
• Maintains productivity standards, work methods and shrink control.
• Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
