Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member in Santa Barbara, CA to assist with stocking, merchandising, and customer service across the grocery department. You will maintain displays, stock shelves, manage back stock, and support sampling programs while ensuring food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to learn product knowledge across department.
• Strong customer service and selling skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh, appealing display by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing outdated products.
• Stocks and cleans grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases.
• Prevents spoilage and communicates waste to teammates and leads.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling, keeping areas full and appealing.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Punctual and prepared for shifts; participates in trainings and meetings.
• Delivers excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
