Whole Foods Market is seeking an entry-level Team Member in Santa Barbara to support Prepared Foods with preparing, serving, stocking, and sanitation. You will engage with customers and Team Members to promote a positive store image and core values, while adhering to health and safety standards.

The role emphasizes on‑floor teamwork, on‑the‑spot customer service, inventory checks, and maintaining clean, well‑stocked displays.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods.
• Checks in‑stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
