Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store management professional in Ohio to lead day‑to‑day operations, mentor team members, and ensure exceptional customer service. You will direct staffing, training, and performance, while driving sales and maintaining store standards to deliver a positive shopping experience.

The role requires high school or equivalent, 2–3 years of retail experience, and at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity. A focus on safety, workflow, and team development is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate direction clearly and resolve conflict.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze basic financial information.
• Must show leadership and mentoring capabilities and complete required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning for team members.
• Manage discipline and performance actions as needed.
• Oversee P&L, sales targets, and shrink control for the department.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure team training and safety protocols are followed.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and practice it daily.
