Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Grocery Associate to support guest service and department operations in our Oak Ridge, NC store. The role involves friendly guest interactions, stocking and rotating grocery items, maintaining backroom organization, and assisting with deliveries and inventory management.

The candidate should be reliable, physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to standards and guidelines.
• Maintain neat and safe work area for guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control and product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and backroom.
• Communicate temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen foods).
• Perform front-end duties as needed to ensure no noticeable wait.
• Assist with grocery department inventory.
• Work with Grocery Manager and Store Manager to meet guest demand.
• Ensure adequate product levels to maximize sales and minimize excess inventory.
• Order and merchandize ad items to maximize sales and profits.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
