Job summary

IGA Market in Barnwell, SC is seeking a friendly part-time team member to assist guests, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized spaces. You will participate in front-end duties to minimize wait times and help with deliveries, while upholding sanitation standards throughout the store.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication skills, able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and willing to learn multiple tasks in a dynamic grocery environment. Flexible scheduling is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves.
• Keep work area neat and safe for guests to shop.
• Maintain organized backstock and inventory in the backroom.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control.
• Assist unloading and verifying merchandise at delivery.
• Maintain sanitation on sales floor and backroom.
• Communicate temperature problems to supervisor (dairy/frozen).
• Perform front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait.
• Order product for aisles as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• 1. Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guest and host.
• 2. Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
• 3. Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guest to shop without agitation.
• 4. Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• 5. Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control, rotation of the shelves and overstock, and proper product handling.
• 6. Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• 7. Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
• 8. Communicates temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• 9. Performs front-end duties as necessary to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard is upheld and maintained.
• 10. Order product for aisles (as assigned by management).
• 11. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 4. Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• 5. Knowledge of grocery operations.

• 7. Effective communication and guest service skills.
• 8. Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time.
