Job summary

IGA Market is hiring part-time associates to join our family-owned store in Gilbert, SC. You will provide friendly guest service, stock and rotate groceries, and help maintain clean, safe aisles. This role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and benefits such as a 401K, pension plan, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 40 lbs. constantly, 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Basic reading and understanding information.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves.
• Maintain neat and safe work area for shoppers.
• Keep backstock organized and inventoried in backroom.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control.
• Assist with unloading and verifying delivered merchandise.
• Maintain sanitation on sales floor and backroom area.
• Communicate temperature problems to supervisor.
• Perform front-end duties to reduce wait times.
• Order product for aisles as assigned by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
• Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control, rotation of the shelves and overstock, and proper product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
• Communicates temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• Performs front-end duties as necessary to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard is upheld and maintained.
• Order product for aisles (as assigned by management).
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
