You will assist with unloading deliveries, rotate stock using FIFO, and maintain clean, organized displays. The role requires age 16+ (18+ for compactor), English proficiency, and the ability to follow instructions in a storefront environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age; 18 to operate compactor.
• Complete training in grocery operation.
• Ability to prioritize work load and have sense of urgency.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work a schedule based on the store's business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
• Commit to the $GOLDEN RULE$ and work with other associates to build a strong grocery team.
• Achieve high associate morale by managing in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented style.
• Receive and unload deliveries, check for accuracy, and store product in designated areas.
• Rotate stock in display cases, coolers and freezers using FIFO and oldest products first.
• Keep shelves clean, restocked, and displays blocked and straightened.
• Help maintain department merchandising to meet community needs.
• Return overstock to stockroom in an organized manner.
• Perform price changes when necessary.
• Notify manager of shrink, out-of-stock items, security issues, or customer requests.
• Follow cleaners' creed and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor temperatures and report refrigeration failures.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; report hazards.
• Practice safe lifting and use of equipment.
